Winter season jobs at Ski Magic
We are very proud of the fact that many of our guests return year after year and recommend Ski Magic to others.
We are equally proud of the fact that many of our team return to work several seasons with Ski Magic. We are currently looking for reliable, friendly and self-motivated people to join our team for the coming ski season.
Our staff come to work in The Three Valleys because they want to ski or board on some of the best slopes in the world. You don’t have to be a good skier or boarder, in fact you may be a complete beginner, but you should be a fairly sporty outdoor type of person to enjoy working a season in the Alps. The work is hard, with early mornings and some late nights. There are meals to prepare, toilets to clean, shopping to order and cooking, as well as chatting with guests, answering their questions and never losing your enthusiasm or your smile.
We are welcoming applications for the 2025-2026 ski season from EU passport holders. For non- EU passport holders, the current agreement to work in France requires you to hold a valid carte de séjour/working holiday visa.
We offer a competitive package for our employees, so if you are enthusiastic, self confident, a hard-worker and available to work from early December to mid April then we would like to hear from you. Read the job descriptions below then send your CV and covering letter to us.

WINTER SEASON JOBS – FAQs
What ski season roles do Ski Magic recruit for?
As a chalet specialist, our ski jobs are for mostly Chalet Hosts, with some other winter season positions such as Administrator, Resort Manager, Driver and Ski Technician.
Which resorts are the ski jobs in?
At Ski Magic, our chalets are based in Courchevel Le Praz, La Tania and Meribel, all within the famous Three Valleys ski area.
Do I need a Visa to work in France?
For applicants with British passports: it is possible to work a ski season in France, you will need a work permit and visa. Ski Magic help successful candidates with the process. You will need a valid British passport to acquire the necessary documents.
For European passport holders and other nationalities with a work visa already in place (eg Australian, New Zealand) then recruitment is a more straightforward process.
Do I need to be a good skier to work a ski season?
Not at all! Lots of ski season workers come to the mountains to learn to ski or snowboard, so you don’t need any prior ability or experience, just enthusiasm!

Chalet Cook/Host
This is a very busy, fun role with lots of cooking, guest interaction and cleaning.
Ski Magic hosts have a strong work ethic and are super-organised to ensure all the daily tasks are completed. Being a team player is essential, as is a sense of humour and reliable nature.
Chalet hosts are required to prepare breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course evening meal each day. Experience in catering for groups in a dinner party environment or in a restaurant is preferable. Chalet cooking courses, like those offered at Cookery Schools like Orchards or The Avenue, for example, are also a great way to gain relevant experience.
Cleaning is also an important part of the role as our guests have very high expectations: housekeeping positions in hotels and B&Bs are useful experience for this side of the role.
Singles, couples, friends and mature applicants are all welcome to apply for this position.
Ski time: You’ll have time on the slopes most days of the season (except changeover days!)
Ready to apply? Send a CV, covering letter and 6-day 3-course menu plan to: jobs@skimagic.co.uk
