Family Skiing Holidays
Catered chalets are the easiest way to enjoy a family ski holiday. There’s no shopping, cooking or washing up, and our Ski Magic team make life really easy for you – bringing lift passes and ski hire equipment to the chalet.
Book private childcare for your little ones if you require, or take it in turns with friends and family.
Your chalet is a space to relax and enjoy family time.
With beds made up for your arrival, and towels provided in your room, you’ll have plenty of luggage space for all the important things such as teddies and favourite stories. We also have board games, TVs and speakers in the chalets for evening entertainment. We can provide toy and book boxes upon request.
For babies, we provide cots and cot bedding, as well as highchairs and children’s cutlery and plates.
We can recommend good ski schools for children’s lessons and if you book Ski Magic ski hire in advance, we come to the chalet to fit the equipment. Easy!
Children’s Meals
To ensure that the adults’ evening meal is relaxing, children aged under 12 are usually served an earlier children’s tea.
Our children’s menu has been carefully designed to be healthy and tasty. It is two courses and is served with a glass of milk or fruit juice. If your child has a particular dietary requirement, please advise us at the time of booking.
Alternatively – space permitting and provided that your party has sole occupancy of the chalet – children can eat a simpler meal together with their parents. If your under-12 would prefer to eat an adult meal, this is also possible with a supplement of €60 per child. Please advise us of this at least 14 days prior to departure.
Childcare for ski holidays
La Tania creche
Places are available in the creche/nursery for children from 6 months to 5 years. Located next to the La Tania main gondola lift, you can book places by emailing resa.creche@mairie-courchevel.com.
ESF from age 3
The ESF – Ecole de Ski Français – offers group sessions on the snow from aged 3 years (younger than other independent ski schools). The groups are called “Club Piou Piou” (piou piou is French for the sound made by a little chick!) and the children are taken to play on the snow and have their first ski experiences. Private childcare
We have worked with childcare provider, Meribel Nanny Services and Courchevel Nanny Services for several years, whose reliable nannies will come to the chalet to care for your children during the week.

Baby and toddler equipment
If you are travelling with babies or young children, we can deliver cots and bedding, plus highchairs and plates/cutlery to the chalet for your arrival.
For any other baby or toddler equipment, such as baths, stair gates, buggies, back-pack carriers, games or baby monitors etc, we work with a wonderful local company called Holiday Baby Hire. You can order online in advance of your arrival and have the items brought directly to the chalet on your arrival day.

Can I bring a baby to the chalet?
Yes! We welcome babies and can provide cots and cot bedding, as well as highchairs and children’s cutlery and plates. Let us know when you are reserving your airport transfer that you’re travelling with small children and we’ll make sure to have the appropriate car seat ready. Read more about skiing with a baby…
Are the chalets suitable for children?
Yes, we have chalets with rooms that are great for children and families, so the best thing to do is contact us to talk about the ages of your children and any special requirements you might have. We’re a small tour operator and will help ensure your family holiday runs smoothly!
Do you offer childcare?
No, but we work with childcare experts who do. There are some excellent local companies who can provide full day or half day childcare, in the chalet in which you are staying, as well as evening babysitting. More on Childcare.
Is there a cot available for the chalet?
Yes, we can provide cots and suitable bedding for any of our chalets.
What about mealtimes? Is there a highchair available?
We can provide earlier children’s teas in the chalet, and if you require a highchair then do let us know and we’ll deliver one to the chalet for your arrival.
