The Ski Magic guide to Méribel’s restaurant and bar scene
Bars and Restaurants in Méribel
Méribel Centre
This restaurant oozes fromage from the woodwork, so if you’re not a fan of the world of melted cheese, stay well away! But if you are…… You’re in for the best fondue. Maybe of your life.
A friendly and cosy restaurant serving good, fair priced dishes. At lunch: a three course menu du jour, plus salads, burgers, homemade Croque Monsieur and soup. The evening menu is based on a classic French menu with some international dishes and vegetarian options. Near Sherpa and Sport 1600 above Meribel’s main centre.
Tasty pub food, bar snacks, craft beers and brunches in ‘The Tav’ in the centre of Méribel. Popular with locals too, it’s a cosy and casual place to hang out for apres-ski, or dance to electro-jazzy beats on Thursday nights with DJs Bubble & Crisp.
Le Rond Point (The Ronnie)
If you’re after a quick lunch stop, drop in to The Ronnie and grab a burger or box of noodles, both designed as a good value quick eat. There’s a more extensive menu available inside if you want to linger. And of course their apres-ski is legendary!
Known for their pizzas and cocktails, Barometer is a warm and welcoming spot in Meribel centre which also serves craft beers.
By the Chaudanne roundabout, Jacks serves craft beers and signature cocktails alongside whopping burgers, sourdough pizzas, calamari and veggie and vegan options. A popular spot for apres-ski, especially as it’s so close to the bottom of the slopes!
A friendly spot in the Galerie des Cimes, offering pizzas, burgers, pasta, salads and tapas.
Copiña
Not just your average Spanish sangria, this stylish bar serves their very own Galician cocktails alongside very moreish tapas with top ingredients.
Upmarket Italian dining and pizzas.
La Galette
A firm favourite in Meribel, expect reasonably priced salads, pizzas, tartiflette, fondue, raclette and omelettes as well as sweet crêpes, and their savoury counterparts, galettes, which make for a good lunch in the centre of the village.
Tuck into US/Canadian style snacks like chicken wings, sweet potato fries and chips with poutine, or opt for one of their rotisserie chicken menus. There are three veggie options including veg chilli and the crispy, spicy Bang Bang Cauliflower. Open until 1am there’s also a regular rock & roll quiz night and a Blues Night on the events calendar.
Chic bar and restaurant open for lunch and in the evenings, with local dishes and tapas/nibbles. The Resident DJs (who also have residencies at the Folie Douce) start at 10 and light up the dancefloor until 1am.

Mountain Restaurants
Méribel
Famed throughout the Alps for the fabulous dance shows, DJs and wild atmosphere, you might want to fill up before you start partying – the self-service restaurant offers daily specials at good value. (Ask your host for details on the Ski Magic discount.)
Otherwise known as ‘The Ronnie’, this Brit-run apres-ski venue has a snack menu with burgers and noodles, or sit-down lunches. Live music and DJs make it famous for its party vibe as the sun sets over the mountains.
The secluded setting makes Le Clos Bernard a bit tricky to access for less confident skiers, but it’s a fun adventure for strong intermediates! Follow the signs from the bottom of Loze chairlift. The restaurant offers hearty classic alpine food with an emphasis on quality ingredients.
Lilie Meribel
Buzzy and foodie, Lilie Meribel is popular for its expansive menu and designer decor. Busy with families at early lunchtime, we’d recommend lingering over a later lunch.
It’s not often you’ll find a local Beaufort cheese tart sharing menu space with chicken tikka, but Maya Altitude pull off the East-meets-West menu in style! For the carnivorous, the chef also specialises in matured and flame-grilled meats.
Ski up to the terrace, pop your skis in the rack and sit down in the sunshine. Adray Telebar is a Méribel institution, and its famous dish is the veal escalope although there are also omelettes, meaty dishes and salads worth tucking into. Also a nice spot for a hot chocolate or vin chaud at the end of the day.
Méribel Village
The happy hours and large sunny terrace make this restaurant in Meribel Village a popular destination for apres-ski. You’ll find loaded fries and hot dogs for under 15€ if you fancy a budget lunch.
Burgers, salads, tartiflette and fondue share the menu with Korean spiced aubergine (the vegan option) and the mushroom and halloumi veggie burger.
You’ll find the Monchu terrace on the Rodos piste: a fun spot open from 9am for drinks and 11am for lunches such as burgers, salads, steaks or the veggie Buddha Bowl. Save room for their desserts, which are their speciality. From 3pm the vibe is more sweet treats and hot drinks.
Méribel Mottaret
At the foot of the slopes, the Chrismaran is a family run restaurant which makes a cheap and cheerful spot for a beer and some chips, a burger, crepe or waffle.
If you’re after a quick but good burger, head to Chef Bif. Very tasty, good value, but also quite popular so you might have to wait in the queue whilst your tummy rumbles.
