About Chalet Matisse Bas
Chalet Matisse Bas sleeps 8 guests in the four bedrooms (3 twins and 1 twin/double) which all have en-suite bathrooms.
With comfortable sofas and large windows, the dining and sitting area in Chalet Matisse Bas is a lovely open room with a sunny terrace. In the evenings, it’s a real treat to put your feet up in front of the fire before dining.
The three twin rooms have bathrooms, with the twin/double having an en-suite shower room and separate WC.
For entertainment we have satellite TV and a wireless speaker. There is – of course! – free WiFi, and for some classic chalet fun, a selection of board games.
The boot room – which is shared with Ski Magic’s Chalet Matisse Haut guests – is equipped with a heated boot warmer (great for cosy toes on chilly days!)
All bed linen, towels and hairdryers are provided. There is a car parking space right outside the chalet and also a large free car park in the village.

How to reserve Chalet Matisse Bas
1. Select your chalet or room/s and your chosen arrival date
2. Click ‘Hold Chalet’ – your selected rooms will be reserved for 48 hours (no payment at this stage)
3. To confirm your booking, pay a deposit of 25% via your ‘mychaletbooking’ account login
4. The balance payment is due 10 weeks before your arrival in resort.
5. Add party details, airport transfers, ski hire or lift passes via your account.

Is La Tania good for beginner skiers?
Yes, La Tania has a great nursery slope for beginner skiers and snowboarders to learn in safety, away from the main slope. It is quite a recent addition to the resort and is ideal for learners to acquire the basic skills and learn to turn and stop on a gentle run.
La Tania also has good ski schools to help you learn safely and build confidence ready to take the ski lifts.
How many guests does Chalet Matisse sleep?
Chalet Matisse Bas sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms: a double or twin room with en-suite shower and wash basin and separate WC, plus three twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms.
Is Chalet Matisse ski in ski out?
Chalet Matisse Bas is just a few metres walk to the ski slope that leads to the main gondola, as well as the village shops and the ski school meeting point.
To get and and from Chalet Matisse simply cross over the road and use the public elevator. This leads to the resort centre, slopes, beginner ski area and ski school meeting points. Alternatively, there is a path at the top of the road that leads you onto the Folyeres ski run which leads through the resort to the bubble lift.
What meals are included in the catered chalet service?
A catered chalet is more than just a simple ‘half-board’ service. When you choose a Ski Magic catered ski chalet, breakfast and afternoon tea is included every day, with meals provided for you on six evenings, leaving you free to sample a local restaurant or takeaway on one evening.
