And it’s more than just a simple ‘half-board’ – when you choose one of our ski chalets, breakfast and afternoon tea is included every day so you don’t have to think about queueing at the boulangerie. Hot drinks and a fruit bowl are available any time you want.
Evening meals are provided for you on six nights, leaving you free to sample a local restaurant or takeaway on ‘night off’. Wine is served during dinner and is included in the price of your holiday.

Is La Tania a good ski resort?
La Tania is in the Three Valleys, one of the world’s best places to ski. As part of the Courchevel valley, La Tania is known for its great snow conditions and efficient lift system. The village resort of La Tania is friendly and welcoming, with a pedestrianised main street making it safe for families. It also has a small but fun apres-ski scene with buzzy local bars. Which is the best type of ski holiday, catered or self-catered?
Self-catered skiing holidays are good for skiers who prefer to be flexible about meals, like to eat out in restaurants, or have strict dietary requirements.
Catered or half board ski holidays are ideal for people who prefer to spend more time skiing than cooking/washing up. It is also a good way to manage a budget because breakfast, afternoon tea and six evening meals are paid for in the price of the holiday, so the re are fewer unknown costs in resort. What is the food like in a catered chalet?
The idea of a catered chalet is that breakfast is provided plus evening meals on either five or six nights per week. For breakfast there are often cooked options available, as well as coffee/tea, juice, yoghurts, cereals and fruit. Afternoon tea is an extra bonus to look forward to when you return from skiing! In the evenings, you will generally find that your chalet host has prepared an evening meal and will set the table and serve dinner at a set time, and that wine is included. Is La Tania a good resort for families?
Yes – the snowfront gives easy, pedestrianised access to the main shops, bars and restaurants, plus there’s a mini park for kids to play in, and plenty of areas for sledging and building snowmen! Prices are known for being reasonable, and as a small village resort which is part of Courchevel, the chalets are all close to the slopes. Ski school offerings are good for children, and there’s a family-friendly atmosphere in resort. The beginner area is set aside from the main piste and has a ‘magic carpet’ lift – perfect for smaller children and beginners.
What is the après-ski like in La Tania?
It might only have a few bars, but La Tania definitely knows how to après! There’s live music on every evening, and a friendly atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced (especially for Courchevel) and the local bands and DJs know how to deliver (most also play in the famous bars in Méribel as well). Check out Pub le Ski Lodge and the Taïga for après-ski drinks and music. On sunny days, there’s often live music in the Bouc Blanc restaurant (at the top of the La Tania bubble).
What ski lifts are in La Tania, and how do I get to the rest of the Three Valleys?
The main La Tania ski lift is a bubble – newly renovated in 2026-2027 – which gives access to two chairlifts: Bouc Blanc, which takes you to Courchevel (access Meribel via Saulire), and Dou des Lanches which goes to the top of the Col de la Loze. You can ski down to Méribel directly from here. La Tania makes a great base to explore the Three Valleys with these three lifts alone, and is also known as a good value resort for skiers and snowboarders looking for a chalet holiday in the Three Valleys.
