About Meribel resort:
If après-ski is as important to you as the time on the hill, then Meribel has to be on your bucket list.
Alongside all the fun off the slope activities (ice skating, bowling, swimming, spas, restaurants, shopping, pony rides…) there’s also the infamous Folie Douce, and the legendary Ronnie, the two main après hot spots in the valley.
But let’s not forget that this is still the 3 Valleys, and there is still riding to be done…
With speedy lifts and 600km to explore, you definitely won’t get bored when skiing and snowboarding in Meribel.

Why choose a catered chalet in Meribel?
A half-board (or “catered”) chalet holiday is ideal for people who want to concentrate on having fun and making the most of their time on the slopes, rather than thinking about shopping, cooking and washing up!
And it’s more than just a simple ‘half-board’ – when you choose one of our ski chalets, breakfast and afternoon tea is included every day so you don’t have to think about queueing at the boulangerie. Hot drinks and a fruit bowl are available any time you want.
Evening meals are provided for you on six nights, leaving you free to sample a local restaurant or takeaway on ‘night off’. Wine is served during dinner and is included in the price of your holiday.
We can also help with your pre-arrival organisation, ordering and delivering lift passes, booking airport transfers, adding ski hire…
How to reserve Chalet Loden
1. Select your chalet or room/s and your chosen arrival date
2. Click ‘Hold Chalet’ – your selected rooms will be reserved for 48 hours (no payment at this stage)
3. To confirm your booking, pay a deposit of 25% via your ‘mychaletbooking’ account login
4. The balance payment is due 10 weeks before your arrival in resort.
5. Add party details, airport transfers, ski hire or lift passes via your account.

Meribel Catered Chalet FAQs
Is Meribel a good ski resort?
Meribel isn’t just a good ski resort, it’s a great one! The ski area, the resort, the activities, the bars, the restaurants, the shopping… It all comes together to make a legendary spot for a French ski trip. And our Chalet Loden gives easy access to the heart of the action. read our Meribel resort guide for the lowdown on apres-ski, best snowparks, top restaurant etc.
What meals are included in a catered chalet?
The idea of a catered chalet is that it’s a really relaxing way to enjoy a ski holiday: concentrate on having fun and not cooking! In your Ski Magic catered chalet, continental breakfast is provided each day, and dinner-party style evening meals on six nights. For breakfast expect coffee, tea, juice, yoghurts, cereals and fruit, with cooked options served on your chalet host’s days in the kitchen. Afternoon tea is laid out for your return from the slopes! Find our example evening meal menus here.
Which is the best type of ski holiday, catered or self-catered?
Self-catered skiing holidays are ideal for people who prefer to be flexible about meals, want to eat out in restaurants every day, or perhaps need to be particularly careful about what they eat.
“Catered” or half board ski holidays are ideal for people who prefer to spend more time skiing than cooking/washing up! It is also a good way to manage your ski holiday budget, as breakfast, afternoon tea and six evening meals are paid for in the price of the holiday, so there are fewer unknown costs in resort. Find out more about what’s included in our half board chalets here.
